NO FUSS SPIRIT AND LIFE

The mystery of Godliness and the miracle of salvation is far more than merely ‘being saved.’ It’s being made one with God. The notion that the law is the key issue of the Kingdom of God is a subtle and pernicious lie that acts like a tumour in the Body of Christ, changing what was meant to be the spirit of sonship to communities of invalids attempting to make do in the Body of Death.

What is the quality of life in which this sonship is based. It’s source is the ending of our Adam and the start of our union with the Christ of God.

“The trinitarian persons of God are inseparably united in one Being.” It is this kind of union that is yours and ours when we talk of life in the Spirit and which Paul further emphasises as The One Spirit when he writes, ‘But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him’ 1 Cor 6.17 NLT.

AVOID DISTRACTIONS

The incarnation, and never the distraction of the law, is the key of post cross life. The mystery of Godliness is that Christ becomes us, which is meant by the words ‘Christ come in the flesh. First the Son of God came as Jesus christ. Second the Son of God came into you by the Spirit at Pentecost.

Such ‘oneness’ is ours in oneness of being. This is the incarnation: The fullness of God in you and expressing Godness as you but with you retaining your individually and being. As a son/daughter you are enhanced in uniqueness and identity by this union.

PERICHORESIS

In the trinity, “Each Trinitarian Person exists for the sake of another, and in fact does not exist apart from the other. The early church therefore adopted the Greek word perichoresis. This implies a mutual interpenetration and indwelling of each Person in the other.” While this is the dynamic of the trinity it is also the dynamic that is God in us. As sons and daughters we are the expression of the fullness of God – the ‘we’ who have made their home in us.

I emphasise this because this is how we become God’s life and righteousness. Never by the law which was a function of the forbidden fruit. The fruit that came from Adam’s sad baptism into confusion. The fruit of the carnal knowledge tree with its and Babylonish ‘righteousness.’

‘Law based christianity’ which is the culture of the fundamentalisms is the undoing of the Kingdom of God in the name of God. Life-based Christianity is the function of Christ our life.

Law based Christianity is such a threadbare charade of our inheritance that those steeped in it can find
this gospel of the Kingdom as written here, incomprehensible.
Our state of being is oneness with God. Living in this union we are alive with God’s spirit and life. And we can see.
We can live in a Christian version of the knowledge of good and evil by mistake or by choice. Such crippled religion is lead by blind leaders and followed by blind people. The Gospel of the Kingdom is amazingly simple and all embracing.

It is Christ and the trinity come in our flesh. We have a choice. Either we can live in the light of the world or we can live in our own light – which is confusion and darkness.
